NL Scholarship What is the NL Scholarship. It is a scholarship program financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, together with many Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences. The aim is to assist talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in the Netherlands. What the Scholarship Covers The award is a one-time grant in the first year of study. It is not a full-tuition scholarship. It helps offset some costs, but you’ll need to cover tuition + living costs beyond what this gives. Also, some universities ask for a statement of financial resources. Not all universities or programmes in NL offer the NL Scholarship. You must check whether the programme you want is participating. Examples: Utrecht University offers it for certain international Master’s programmes. Radboud University gives up to 19 of these scholarships in “participating faculties” for Master’s programmes. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences offers it for specific Bachelor and Master programmes (for example at Willem de Kooning Academy etc.). Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) also participates. Application Procedure & Deadlines You must apply to your chosen programme(s) first, and before or along with applying for the scholarship (if required).
